What kind of stuff?

In previous years there were complimentary beer vouchers for Beoir members. Not sure if that's still the case.

Nice to see four micros from the south will be present. I think that's a first.

Hmm... last year was great, I got the train to Belfast, checked in to travelodge for £35 and spent the day at the festival and then went back on Sunday for a few hours before getting the train back to Dublin.

This year, not only can I not get anywhere near as cheap hotel prices, Saturday is the last day! It's making it hard to justify going. Also the train is more expensive this year too.

Anyone know of any train deals? At the moment it looks like about €30 return for Saturday.

The great thing about Belfast is that it has all the budget hotels like any other UK city. Options for the Friday night:
- Premier Inn in Lisburn is £29
- Days Inn Belfast City Centre is £39[/url:1xxui1lj]

Under IE's new pricing structure €30 plus fees is the cheapest you can do return. Although you can save a couple of quid by buying the return leg online from NIR for £8.99 on selected services.

Are you a CAMRA member?

Aircoach from Dublin Airport (or city centre) is another option, think it's a tenner each way. No use now but there was a 20% discount on IE's site last week, there may be other discounts before the festival best keep an eye on the boards bargain alerts thread.

Thanks for the days inn option.
It's only €39 on Thursday night so no good to me but it's €55 Friday and Saturday which is what I just booked.

So I will see people Friday night and all day Saturday <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) -->

I'm not a CAMRA member, I don't think I spend enough time at their events to justify the cost.

That said, it seems more expensive than last year. £7 on Friday and Saturday is it? Or is it £7 Friday after 4pm and £3 Saturday before 4pm?

On CAMRA, there is a UK/EU option and overseas option which is a lot more expensive. Technically we are overseas but does the UK subscription cover us?
