I haven't been to an Easterfest yet, but I have been to the Well and the RDS is waaaaayy bigger. And it was pretty full on Saturday night too. I'd say the RDS was the biggest beerfest here by a good margin. Of course Paddyfest could change all that.

The Easterfest is pretty much at full capacity, and can't really get much bigger due to the size of the well. A lot of people go early in the day to avoid the crowds, and once you get to around 7 o'clock they operate a 1 in 1 out policy, so the wait puts people off. There is a big garden space up the top of the site, and there was talk of developing it, but not sure what happened with that. Might have been a health and safety issue, but really is a lovely space, and it's a shame to see it go waste just for storage. It still wouldn't get anywhere near the RDS size wise though.

The Franciscan Well Brewery and Brew Pub is running our annual Easter Beer Festival on the 7th & 8th April. This year looks to be the biggest one yet as micro breweries keep opening up around the country. Its a far cry for a few years back but we look forward to even more choice than ever before!

I really want to try to get to this this year, but we have a houseguest over Easter so not sure how feasible it will be. What day(s) are people planning on popping down from Dublin?
