Hilary is having a citizenship party tomorrow. We have tables reserved upstairs from 7pm so if anyone would like to join us then please do.

Very informal affair, pretty much just an excuse for some beers to be honest.

Ah that's great, congrats to her and welcome aboard the good ship Ireland.

When I saw the heading I thought it was like a fun anthitesis of the royal wedding kind of thing, us being citizens and "them" being subjects!

That's not actually correct, the British people are citizens too.
