Don't know yet but Russell usually has a couple of casks on, the programme of other beers looks very good!

What a festival this year and what a testament to the strength of the Irish Craft Brewing scene . Outstanding Beers , Great turnout ( the busiest Saturday ever in the History of the Fest ) and more craft Breweries than you could shake a stick at !! .

I particularly liked Corca Dhuibne's Dark Ale and 8degrees first offering is a great start .

UCC's Bavarian Beer said Traditional on the tap , but was a surprising beer , an almost Maarzen like flavour and mouthfeel with a very pils aftertaste . Liked that .
Dungarvan had good casks on , and I'm dissapointed I didn't ge more time with them . Metalman Pale Ale ( Kegged ) was nice , and I did have a quick tast of their Cask stuff which had good flavour in it , but just wasn't my kind of beer.
Troubles Dark Arts is very nice .

That about covers what I had pints of anyway . I wish it was a week long festival ..........

Really enjoyed it again this year and well done to all the Brewers involved !!

Had a great day at the festival on Saturday. Couldn't believe how packed the place was, as I got there about 2hrs later than last year. A few of my favourites this year were Barrelhead Pale Ale, Metalman Windjammer, 8Degrees Howling Gale Ale (even though my free one was flat, still good) and Bay Lager. Weather and Pizza great also.
Maybe a couple of Portable Loos next year would help..
Enjoyed catching up on the latest brewing gossip with a few of our members and the brewers.
So many I didn't get to try, drinking responsibly and all that, till next year.

I have just lost my complete post on the Easterfest so here goes for the second time!!!!

Attended the festival both days drinking mainly half pints as well as copious supplies of Water. Got through quite a few beers so the following are my highlights though not necessarily in this order.

Eight Degrees Howling Gale Ale – great first attempt from a new brewery. Hope their launch works out very well and hope to try their offerings again in the near future.
Beoir Corca Dhuine – Really enjoyed the dark ale. Stout was gone by Sunday. Lovely beer and lovely people to talk to as well.
Messrs Maguire – First time trying the Brown Ale and most definitely not disappointed. A great beer. Also had the aged Barrelhead from their stand – a really good beer. Good bit of banter with Mel as well!
UCC Pilot Brewery – enjoyed both their beers, very drinkable and so much better than the macro stuff in most bars.
O’Hara’s Leann Follain – a lovely stronger stout, really very good. Only had it from bottle before Their smoked ale was interest if not much of a smokey taste but a very nice ale.
Dungarvan Coffee and Oatmeal stout – could not taste much coffee but lovely stout to drink. Well done guys.
Hooker Pale ale on cask – interesting – quite different to the regular draft. Well done Aidan and Ronan.
White Gypsy – Emerald Pale Ale – the only 100% irish produced beer at the festival. Always a lovely drink. Well done Cualan as always.
Metallman Windjammer – bursting with flavour, a really lovely summer drinking ale. Well done guys.

Unfortunately the Well did not have any of their own casks on this year.

Kudos to the Franciscan Well for hosting such a great event as always and brewers for presenting such lovely beers. Also great to catch up with some regular and new festivalgoers.

Always a great way to spend Easter week-end!.
