As an update to this, we've just been made an offer by a local historian who does walking tours of Dungarvan to take you on a walk around the town, focusing on the brewing history of Dungarvan and end up at the brewery here. Would this be of interest? And would anyone like to suggest a time (assuming the walking tour will take an hour or so, and that not everyone will be interested in it but will meet us at the brewery at the finishing time?)

I would be interested in the walking tour yes. Good excuse to burn off the calories <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Would it be ok if the walking tour started at say 1 and then the brewery tour took place at the end, so two or so. That would give Spud a good few hours.

Will there be food going at the brewery or should we have lunch before we arrive?

Count me in to, that sounds like it'd be interesting.

I think that time sounds good, it'll give anyone travelling to or from here plenty of time either side.

As for food, I'm sure we could organise something but would need a better idea of numbers - may I suggest the usual ICB counting system? And if you could indicate if you're interested in the walking tour or just the brewery that'd be great!

I'll get the ball rolling so.

Won't make it back in time for the walking tour, but it sounds fascinating. Must get the name of the local historian.
