Just wondering if anyone knows anything about beer festival's organised by Deveneys? Are they any good? They appear to be hosting one in POD:

Is it worth heading along?

We're signed up to be at this, and so are Clanconnell, but that's all the breweries I know of. It's a bottled beer festival and there will be lots of non-Irish beer there as well, along with Bluegrass music and food. Ruth seems to have put a lot of work into organising it and I know a lot of tickets have been sold already.

Other Irish breweries appear to be Carlow, Whitewater and Hilden.

Any idea how much the drinks will be once you're inside? Or do you get a certain amount free?

Think I might just head along... I will be working around the corner from there so it would be rude not to!

Not sure, I know payment will be with beer dollars (or Púnts rather, there's an Irish theme) but don't know what the cost of these are.

Not cheap at ~€6 a pint but a good deal give you get to taste four different beers...

So I think I'll wander along! See if I can drag along a couple of my new work colleagues!

The 'measures' aren't very strict, or weren't at the last event. I know I didn't buy any extra tokens at the last event and had a very enjoyable evening.
