I'll be bringing a few bottles of US craft brews along for sampling, including a few rarities. How many of these I bring will depend on how many I can pack in and still protect them from the airline baggage handlers, but here's the beer list so far:
-Dark Lord Imperial Stout, Three Floyds
-Cane & Ebel Red Rye Ale, Two Brothers
-Unearthly Imperial IPA, Southern Tier
-Anchor Porter, Anchor Steam
-Brian Boru Old Irish Red Ale, 3 Floyds
-Avalon Spiced Ale/Cider, Two Brothers
-Dreadnaught IPA, 3 Floyds
-Lakefront Brewing 20th Anniversary Ale

Ramfan (& others), Deena & I encourage your Mrs. to attend as well, schedules permitting.

I would love to be able to go but meet ups on Thursday are no good for me due to where I live and transport so any Thursday is out.

Chicago is my favourite city in the world, some day perhaps we will move there. That is where my wife is originally from, though she grew up across the lake in Michigan.

Ever been? Surprisingly, even though I have been in the area lots of times and walked past a lot of times I have only ever had the chance to go in once. I do not remember what beer I had, I just remember how crowded it always is due to its popularity.

Bummer, Saruman. Next time you end up around Chicago give a shout. There's a few places a little bit further out that are also worthy but don't have the crowd factor.

For those who can make it, I was able to pack in a few less bottles than I listed. I'd rather bring a few less undamaged bottles than more bottles that arrive as a mess of broken glass. Here's the line-up:#

due to the recession i am off on mondays and tuesdays. as well as weekends so every weekend is a 4 day weekend. if you want to meety up then let me know.

well after a good day and a lot of beer at the porterhouse and then bull and castle i am on a bus waiting to leave for home. galway directionm but i live in rochfortbridge. any tiume over the weekend or mon/tues is fine with me.

Saruman, my apologies for failing to reply. We lost ready internet access the moment we left for the airport in Chicago and our self-catering joint's internet access was down until late this afternoon. We'll be at the Porterhouse around 4 PM so we'll have good seats for Sliotar. (We're trying to get them a US agent so they can tour the states as well as here and Europe).
