Great night. Thanks for organizing sbillings!

Everyone on this site who complains about the lack of decent beer in Ireland should try to get to the Porterhouse for this festival. They have the full selection of Irish craft beer all in one place.

Well don't keep us in suspense. What beers are in the festival?

Last night, aside from the house beers, there was:
Galway Hooker
Galway Hooker Dunkelweiss
MM Bock
MM Plain
Belfast Blonde
Purgatory
Rebel Red
Friar Weisse (I think)
Clotworthy Dobbin
Belfast Lager (I think)

MM Haus was promised, but may not be in the festival line-up.
Hilden Ale is expected on cask later in the week.
There was a keg font for Scullion's, but it wasn't serving yet.

Whats the Galway Hooker Dunkelweiss like

It's nice. Not big on the fruitiness, though there's a bit of a banana aroma. It has a definite caramel/toffee thing going on, and a touch of roasted grains about it as well. It reminded me a bit of the Porterhouse Alt. A little bit thinner than your typical weiss, and lacking the big foamy head, but I liked it. It should do well.
