didn't Messers have their stout (or was it porter?) on cask at one point? I think I may have tasted it at Farmleigh

Yeah, all of the MM specials are served on cask. Just not in MM. The porter was on cask at Hilden. Extra and Imperial were both on cask at the Great British Beer Festival, as were O'Hara's stout, O'Hara's red, Shandon stout, Rebel red, Purgatory, Porterhouse Plain and Galway Hooker.
