Boyle's in Kildare have brewed a beer at Trouble Brewing and are having a cask event run by our very own Bren and Kellie. Bren brewed the beer at Trouble. There will likely be a bit of a history lesson. The beer is called Brigid's Autumn Ale.

Kildare town is easily accessed from Dublin by train and bus via Bus Eireann and Dublin Coach (D'Olier street). It's also a stones throw from Kildare village outlets so the shuttle bus can also be used.

Hi All fellow Beoir members and friends

Just posting re the Boyles event Heres the deal:
We brewed a very special beer which was showcased at numerous events inc the RDS. Its a dark ale brewed somewhat tradionally based on old dark ale. We have just one cask which we have put aside for an event for beer enthusiasts and now invite Beoir and Homebrew club members to come to our day out which involves the following:

Cracking the cask in Boyles pub early afternoon
Enjoying 3 or4 pints each and food for 16 euros fee.
FREE BEER AT MALTCRACKER afterwards.
Currently pouring
1. bockweiss
2. Dunkles weiss
3. Weissbier
4. English strong bitter
5. Belgian dark strong

Tasting / Sampling / Blind taste off vs commercial

1. Wild cider
2. Imperial Whiskey barrel aged stout
3. Dark belgian strong
4. Rauchbier
5. Saison
6. National summer sessions winner 'Fisherstown Fruity'

If ye have not been to Maltcracker's base you will wonder why ye have not to date. We have numerous fantastic beers including our UK nationals entries at the moment.
Vegetable and fruit gardens in full bloom and hops on the vines. A wonderful welcoming place to enjoy beer AND SAMPLE MALTCRACKER INN'S AMAZING FOOD FROM THE GARDEN AND WHOLESOME BEER

Ok Cask is only being tapped subject to it being Finished on the day so who is in?????

To pipe in here. A reminder that Kildare is easily and cheaply accessible by public transport. For instance, the Dublin Coach M7 express to Kildare Village is only €5 each way. It's practically every 30 minutes.

Bren's place is about 20 minutes walk from the town and Kildare Village, where you get the Dublin coach back is about 10 - 15 minutes walk from his place but there are also sleepover arrangements as he said.

Hopefully we will get a nice group heading down. [b:3baxa1s2]€16 for 4 pints and food is a bargain[/b:3baxa1s2] I reckon and then we can go drink Bren dry at his place!

[color=#FF0000:3b4zhhs7]A side note the beer is a strong ale at 5.??% it is poured in a nice pint to line glass with a proper frothy head in line with @maltcrackers sensible drinking policy is available in nice half pint glasses at HALF PRICE so you can enjoy the beer fresh and at your own pace. The entry fee will cover costs only so not for profit as profit eaten by food costs. So come help us promote REAL BEER this is as KILDARE and local as it gets....Minch malt from the maltings, crushed here at maltcracker and brought to Trouble as fresh as a daisy, BOYLES Honey from the national stud , kildare brewer, Kildare brewery, kildare pub REAL LOCAL ALE and the first Cask cracked opn in Kildare for at least 60 years that we know about. COME and have a great day out Regards Bren and Kellie [/color:3b4zhhs7]
