GCB IRISH RED ALE Competition 11 years 8 months ago #7

Ok Folks 40 Reds and 20 NCB entries will make for a good event on Sat in Hollands.

A few firsts here;
The largest ever NHC comp run in the country outside of the Nationals and certainly in Wicklow!
First homebrewing competition in Ireland where 75% of the 14 judges will be BJCP accredited which will also ensure the standard of the competition.
First Comp exclusive to Beoir and NHC members only.
Biggest single style cat. competition run in the country.
Ok enough bs <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Particular congrats to all that got their BJCP accreditation today and for your help in raising the bar for beer judging in the country and more importantly best of luck to all Beoir & NHC members who entered.

Well done to John on running an excellent event and Brian for being a fantastic host. I ended up judging the Light Hybrid Beer category and the standard was very good.
