FastCask[/url:2woov4te] is a new innovation from Marston's, to make cask ale more robust.

Waiting to hear if the Gobby Hobbits are revolting...

Interesting. If it leads to an increase in cask ales being sold it can only be a good thing.
It's certainly better than the present method of getting the beer to drop bright in a hurry, which is to spray one of the small bottles of mixer lemonade into the cask.

I'm not sure to be honest, but it's a tip that was given to me when I was working in the Queens Hotel in Blackpool years ago by the main cellar man.
