I wonder why? Carrigs beers are better. I'm guessing it's for "route to market"- Bru became Spar's discount branded beer (before Arthurstown). Or maybe they want the pubs...

I sometimes got the feeling from various sources that Brú were always interested in cashing in at some stage. Although, obviously couldnt' say whether they have made any return on their investment.

As I understand it, Brú wanted out of the pubs racket. Carrig is coming in to run the remaining estate and gets the advantage of a larger production facility.
