Wow Sean, you're really tempting me to give all grain a try MUCH sooner than I had planned on doing it.
I had no idea it could be done this easily and using equipment that I already have. Frequenting some of the US beer forums has tainted my mind; I just assumed I need all sorts of expensive SS containers, pumps, and though I would have to do multiple infusions/decoction craziness and pretty much have a PHD to figure out the water chemistry.
I'm probably going to stick with extract for a few more months at least, but I can almost guarantee that this is the article and process I'm going to come back to to try my first AG.
Are there any particular styles that are more suited to this type of brewing? any styles that shouldn't be attempted using this system? -Are high gravity beers "out" because of the decrease in efficiency as the amount of grain goes up?
Just knowing that I can use my "extract equipment" to at least try all grain is very exciting...
