They are hardly in the heart of temple bar Andrew. Would you expect to pay that in other pubs in the same area as the Black Sheep?

A pint of O'Hara's IPA in The Swan, down the street from Against the Grain, is €5. So: in the same league as the house beers but a fair bit cheaper than most of the pints in AtG.

Maybe we should have a "Beoir Pub of the Year" award.

Price difference is something I've really started to notice, the real eye opener for me was Brewery Lane, 5.70-5.80 for a pint of Irish craft!
I've started to pay much more attention to prices lately.

Can't bate Abbots Ale House. €4.40 for a pint of Dark Arts or standard guest beer, €6 for a pint of strong stuff (7/8% and up), half price for half pint. The epitome of fair. I did note that when I was in Dublin, the B&C seemed very reasonably priced, with the Porterhouse Temple Bar pretty good for, well, Temple Bar. I like to support Irish Craft beer and all that jazz, but I don't like spending over a fiver on a local(ish) pint. The Crane Lane is one of the trendiest places in Cork, right in the city centre, and their Irish craft pints are all €4.80.

I paid €5.10 for one pint of FW Purgatory, then €5.20 for the next one 40 minutes later in The Crane Lane.
I had to point to the tap to get the staff member to understand me!
