TOPIC:

Had the Budvar dark in the Bierhaus last night for first time - a very nice drink indeed. Also had Bitter and Twisted for the first time htis week - had it on two occasions and really inmpressed with it - lovely hoppy flavour. Will become one of my regualr beers there I would think!! Dave also told me he is getting in some new German beers in the new eyar plus getting back some of the Belgians - Orval, Rochford and the Westmalles - all good news!!!!! Had another Heidelberg Christmas beer the other night - more like a dark ale I thought but festive nonetheless. Again well done Dave for giving us such a varied and evolving choice .....!

Finally asked my offie if they would stock the Dark Budvar. Luckily, the lad behind the cashier happened to be in the Black Box for the Great Irish Beer Festival, and he'll try to source it! I can't wait!
