I'd noticed there was a serious craft beer selection downstairs in the Mardyke. I guess that's going to be rebranded as the Porterhouse?

The Porterhouse Cork are having their official launch on Wednesday 6th. They're having competitions on Facebook for invites.

There was talk before Christmas of a regulars night as well. A reward for the people who were coming to the bar before it became a Porterhouse and for sticking with it after. I don't know if this is still on or if it's being merged with the official launch.

I called in here on Saturday for a pint and some lunch before the FW Festival. Wasn't open till 14:30. Thought they'd be open for lunch on a Saturday. Don't know if the location will work. Although only 5 mins from the city centre there is nothing else around it to draw a crowd. The Woolshed next door is a student type barn of a pub (no offence to students)we had one drink and left, not aimed at our age group <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Had a great pint of Murphy and a sambo in the Long Valley, lovely pub.
