No cask but some good pubs and only 5 min form the airport. 44 main street is a lovely spot with lovely food and a good selection beers.

Not to forget the "Old Boro" - same company different beers ( also parking!! - which is a major plus one in swords )

For example: Shopping at the Pavillions in Swords:

Option 1: Park in the surface parks ( free first hour ) but then comes the WTF did I leave the car? ( I don't do this )

Option 2: Park underground, near the lift, dowside costs a Euro! ( Used to do this )

Option 3: Park at the Old Boro, Quick ( like 5 mins shop ) and knock off the 1€ from the pint of O'Haras or whatever else you're drinking

Got to WJKs on Thursday evening. A lovely pub that I will deinitely revisit. Had Dark Arts on cask, flavour not as pronounced as the bottle version but a lovely drop none the less. Also had Ay Up by Dancing Duck, very nice ale with good citrus bite, Golden Ale by White Gypsy was also very good. Had Knockmealdown Porter on keg, too cold for my liking, but the flavours came through as it warmed a little. Ate here also, food was good and the pub had a steady trade and a good atmosphere.

Had a late pint in The Palace on Fleet St. Helvick Gold on cask. Not very good, tasted distinctly sour. Had the same experience here in June with Copper Coast. Barman did not look like he knew what he was doing and I wonder have they got the turnover on cask to kep it fresh. The difference between here and WJKs was marked. I handed it back and got a bottle of Leann Folláin intead. No quibbles but the manager tried to justify the taste by telling me it was a different type of beer to keg.

Won't be having cask there again. All in all a very good night out.

WJK is my favourite Dublin craftbeer pub, just a tremendous place. The meat board is the best I've ever had.

No, still no cask in Swords. The 44 has Metalman, O'Haras stout and IPA. Not sure what's in the Old Boro, it's a ghost town in there.

The Boro has O'Hara's IPA and Red. Also a couple of bottles in the cooler

Why not come to the next meeting of the North County Brewers on Jan 15th in the Boro?
