Unpicking a nit; the whistle is a type of flute.

Back on topic; I had their black lager a few days ago and I quite liked it. I thing it blurs the boundary of a lager though. Aside from being brewed with a lager yeast, it's effectively a porter (and I nice one at that).

Schwarzbier can have roasty flavour to them, Köstritzer brewery has been knocking around since 1550's
