TOPIC:

I think the descritpion of the word is changing. Regarding the word "local", most of our customers mean they want micro beers, not beers from St James Gate down the road. This a good thing in my opinion that a)james' gate is not seen as local, and b) that beers from outside the county are referred to in this way. It brings up the conversation about how many Microbreweries we have and why they have become so popular.

More local beer please

one up for the little guys - I guess ? - I walked in to a pub in Waterford - Asked if the had any Dungarvan beers and your mans response was no ! none of that OR metal Man OR any of that stuff - guess he gets asked it quiet a bit - hopefully if that kinda thing continues we'll see the likes of the local beers popping up in more places

Ah sure if I was to start that is be here all day !!
This time it was the three shippes down by the park - only worth mentioing coz I thought the reaction was funny - he listed off all the local beers he didn't have ! Only for I was meeting some people there I would've asked if he knew a good pub that did sell it !!!

Was it André? I can almost hear his accent in the syntax. I used to drink there regularly when I lived on Scotch Quay. Waterford Boat Club only 50 metres away sells Metalman.

Dunno. Grey/black hair smallish guy - ah I wouldnt be in there often - was a work thing I was at - stopped off at flashes for a punk ipa on the way so it wasnt so bad !
