I think he's tried drinkstore already. I've shipped beer in from abroad a couple of times, and haven't had much issue, apart from the odd breakage. Beer Merchants who trade as Cave direct, look to have reasonable enough postage to Ireland of £20.80 per single case up to 20 kilos, so that might be an option. I haven't used them, so you'd need to check out if they have what you want, but selection looks okay, and they have some mixed crates.

I'm pretty sure that I have used beers of europe before to get beer to Ireland, but not in a long time, as normally I now get my beer deliverd withing the UK, and someone brings it over to me. I can't quite figure out the postage to Ireland, but we are mentioned, so probably worth sending them an email to check what the story is. They have a good selection, and plenty of mixed cases.

Best of luck with it.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that packages within the EU don't get inspected much but anything from outside Europe and China in particular is closely monitored.

Unless it's coming up to Christmas in which case Customs employ temps to go through ALL packages.

That French site is pretty nifty - lots of craft I've never heard of, and you can navigate it 8 ways from Sunday.

I haven't stepped through to see the shipping costs - does it even out as you get up to 10 or 15kg?

(1)Sod the thieving goverment

(2)Beer Postage.
€36.18 for 5kg 7x330ml @€5.17
€63.02 for 10kg 14x330ml @€4.50
€76.56 for 15kg 21x330ml @€3.645
€83.91 for 20kg 29x330ml @€2.89
€91.29 for 25kg 36x330ml @€2.534

Its only when it hits 20kg basically a 24 pack it starts to drop noticably.
Still is annoying its so high.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.obrienswine.ie/Beers/Page1/Records1000/OrderBypopularity/">www.obrienswine.ie/Beers/Page1/R ... opularity/ Irish place that delivers. €8 postage unless you order over €60 in which case its free. Primarily mass produced stuff. Some prices seem cheaper even with the post added than whats local.

Main reason I started this was to find new beers due to the french site being so bloody expensive in postage. Right now i want to find a place that sells River horse Tripel Horse, which currently is my favourite belgium style beer. I used to get it from Drinkstore.ie but not a trace of it or the freeze beer on their site.

anyone have idea where to get it!
