La Vinya del Senyor, Placa de Santa Maria.[/quote:2ts5y75c]
"The Lord´s Vineyard"...You can´t go wrong with that one.
There´s a small family owned restaurant "El Surti-Dór" just outside Barcelona, in a town called Sabadell. It serves homemade food and have a good selection of beers from all over the world. Each table has a tap for selfservice!!!

He's English, from Liverpool - he set this place up years ago but had to sell it on because of tax and excise problems - says the current owners know nothing and use the same starter recipes he put together 20 years ago.
I've been a couple of times but wasn't impressed.

European Beer Guide has a handy pub guide.[/quote:ko1twn8a]
I just read your account - I liked the European guide,although it's a little misinformed. El Vaso de Oro is not a brewpub at all, in fact Damm make the beer for them so it's far from homemade (Damm B*stards!).
The best spot to go to is La Cerveteca, not a brewpub but great selection and well-informed passionate staff.
In fact, I'll open another thread with some tips for those visiting BCN, now that I've only a week left in town, snif. <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: -->

But then the place is so tiny I didn't see very much of anything. Thanks for the correction. It does show, however, that Damm are capable of making good beer if they want to.

Most definitely, it's a decent beer.
They don't advertise the fact Damm make the brew specially for them, I came across this in Barcelona's version of Time Out:
"El segon secret de El Vaso de Oro és una mescla de cervesa produïda en exclusiva per la casa Damm, i que té una qualitat sensiblement superior a
l’Estrella corrent"
->
El Vaso de Oro's second secret is a blend of beer produced exclusively for them by Damm, which is of notably better quality than the standard Estrella.
This page is in Catalan, don't see an English translation, but it has a number of places worth visiting.
