Cannot offer you any specific advice on Killarney. I do know that some bars in Kenmare have foreign beers. I think a bar called Mulcahy's has Krombacher on draught - at least it had last year anwyay! I think the bar in Sneem is O'Shea's though I have never been there..

I think I would venture to some bar and try some of the old reliables rather than sticking to the confines of your hotel room for the evening - that is of course unless you specifically want to be in the room all evening!!!!!! Have a nice time anyway,
P.S. - I strongly recommend the Old Rectory Restaurant across from Catholic Cathedral - very nice place with great food and very welcoming and most professional host.

A bottle of Guiness can be had in a few places....a lot to be said for it as opposed to heiniken or the likes. I'd say Killarney has enough tourism for Guiness / Smithwicks to be considered the drink of choice. Cant imagine your Johnny Average from US and asking A , do they have a nice belgian or a pint of Rebel Red / any other craft brew. They are happy enough not to drink the Bud/miller/coor p**swater ( or their lite version ).

however there may be a hidden gem maybe a search aka crawl may be the order of the day.

Drink the Rochefort and enjoy, but use the Abbot to cook with or to lift stubborn stains...

Courtey's in Killarney has a beer list. Don't remember exactly what's on it but there's definately Schneider and a few Belgians.

I can confirm that Courtneys has a great selection of beers. And thanks Kid for pointing me in the right direction.

It has almost thirty bottled beers and the regular few on draught including Budvar and Warsteiner. It even has two fruit lambics from Boon. It is also the only place I've seen Wychwoods Honey'd Ale. Definitley recommended and supposedly a great place to catch a trad session on a Wednesday and Thursday night.
