Well at least someone made it in. Will have to actually try some other time.

Did you talk to Bernard?

Umm, possibly.

Just an update, I added them to the directory but they currently (as of Saturday) have headless dog on [u:2lud0089]Cask[/u:2lud0089].

Not sure how long the cask will last. It's the one Jonathan (CWI) took out of Mulligans.

They also have a great selection of American beers such as Big daddy etc.

In last Friday, nice selection but the hook was the pricing: e4 for Prohibition! Weekend special, iirc.

It was pretty empty - most patrons seemed to be friends of the guys playing blues covers - but lots of nooks for a quiet one.

Visited on Mon 8th - it was dark inside, and I liked the divey/alternative/rock vibe to it. Was impressed they had a Lithuanian pilsner, dark lager and weiss beer on tap but opted to try the Red from Blue Frog brewery in bottle as I was needing something hoppy and guessed this would fit the bill - bargain for a large bottle at 4 euro.

A friend had a pint of the Chocolate Stout and wasn't sure if it was OK so passed it to me - unfortunately I didn't even need to taste it, as the strong vinegary smell was enough to tell me it was off. The barman was absolutely fine about changing it for us, though I'm not really sure he understood what was wrong with it - he did say that the beer isn't as chocolatey as people expect but when I explained I'm familiar with the beer and it shouldn't taste like it did, he changed it for a bottled Headless Dog.

They also had draught Paulaner which was grand.

Liked this place, would be a good place to start a night out I think - it's small but had an interesting selection of beers and a shabby-alternative vibe to it.
