Is it fair to say that Cork pubs can get rid of Guinness a little easier than in the rest of the country, owing to the Murphys/Beamish alternative?
Many moons ago I was in Maher's in Waterford, one of the last men-only pubs in Ireland, and they also didn't sell Guinness, but they did have the two Cork stouts. Which was slightly ironic as Guinness own Cherry's brewery in Waterford city, and large bottles are very popular.
