Sorry, i'm not trying to build up a huge number of posts and possibly should have included this in my call for guidance in Sligo. Anyways, only thought of this after the fact: I'm heading to the Electric Picnic this weekend. Myself, the missus and several friends feel we have too many miles on the clock for camping (wusses, one and all) and are staying in Portlaoise and heading out for the festival experience daily. The beer inside is the usual turgid Heineken/ Guinness experience, but seeing as how we'll be in town beforehand, is there anywhere that would be worth nipping into to wet my whistle before we stand in a field with rubbish beer in a plastic cup. Again, any information is welcome.

Not that i've seen it. Granted one or two of my "appearances" at the Picnic may disqualify me making any sort of comment on what was been served up at the beer tents, so if someone else can inform me, I'd appreciate that <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

dont know if you like cider but last year in the secret garden area of EP, they had craft cider. Beautiful stuff and actually was the reason i got into brewing in the 1st place, they put on demonstrations, never even would have thought of it before hand
