Pivovar opening a Dublin pub 7 years 8 months ago #1

The English pub and brewery chain Pivovar, which owns the likes of the Euston Tap, York Tap, Sheffield Tap etc, as well as the Tapped Brew Co. in Leeds, has announced[/url:3sa3yrhy] it has bought a pub in Dublin, on the fringe of Temple Bar. They have a huge wholesale operation too, and it looks like they're planning to bring beer over from the UK.

Interesting to watch this one play out. Aiming for a slightly different market to that other English pub chain I assume.

Location-wise, The Chancery is up for sale, and if The Legal Eagle can be gentrified perhaps it can too.

Looks like the event I'm attending[/url:15652u1w] has some usual suspects joining me.

This got turned down for planning[/url:1deoygr3] last week but they've re-submitted. If it gets approved it'll be on the corner of Exchange Street and Essex Street, around the side of the Turk's Head, and will consist of two stacked shipping containers and a large outdoor yard.
