I was there last July, found Carlingford beer in bottles and McGargles Red on tap think it was in McKevitt's on Market Street. Barman was fairly keen on giving something different and there was some reasonable live music on (unlike some other pubs in town).
Carlingford does seem to suffer from some very loud stag parties...

Just an update, found Carlingford Red and Blonde in all the pubs I visited. Other beers spotted included Brehon Blonde and one I'd never heard or seen before, Windy Gap IPA (Dundalk). Carlingford Red is nice enough, decent bit of complexity to it. The Blonde is a strange one, the bottle promises "funky Belgian style pale ale with earthy hops and a hint of spice", whilst also claiming it is a good intro to craft beer. It's got an almost Orval funk to it, which I enjoyed but I'm not sure if that was the intent of the brewers as no one else in the group enjoyed it and I certainly wouldn't put it down as an entry level craft beer. Didn't enjoy Windy Gap IPA, got a lot of astringency off it.

Special mention for the Kingfisher Bistro who didn't serve any Carlingford beer but at least informed me that "loads of people have been asking for that". Take the hint lads. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

So they don't use spring water in an established microbrewery in Louth? Can't believe someone would go on the internet and just tell lies. Have to say it's one of the strangest brewery websites I've seen.
