Don't forget guys they could be paying up to 200 quid for a key keg of 20l.
Price for drinking beers not available in Ireland in general.

Its definitely one that'd be popular with the beertickers.

You can indeed buy cheap beer in most other places... why croud into a pretty hot and small place?
They aren't clearly forcing anyone to take their sips there, must be a reason why there's people in the premises every night...

Think you are getting an imperial pint for that price, not an american pint like in other bars. Open to correction on this though.

Was in there for the first time on Fri eve. Good choice, few sours on tap. Split a few of the more expensive glasses of beer with a mate. Ate some olives. Smelled some pies. Nice spot.

Pies are terrible, pub is a rip off compared to the Thomas House down the road or Bull and Castle the other way. Anything they have I can get in the off license so nothing super rare.

They are charging €26 a bottle of Camden Town IHL barrel aged which is €12 in the off license. I'm getting fed up of the GBB price gouging.

I'm not sure I'd ever expect a 750 or 1000 ml bottle to be sold on a licensed premises without a significant mark-up compared to an off-licence.

Likewise with the Lagunitas. You're getting it from a keg in the hopefully enjoyable surroundings of a busy pub. Yes, you could sit at home with two bottles of it from the off licence instead (but why stop there - Aldi or Lidl beer is even cheaper).

When is the mark-up too much?

The market will answer that, I suppose.

Something tells me that, as with the other Galway Bay pubs in Dublin, their pricing is on target more or less. Plenty of people out there with money in their pocket for this kind of beer.
