I had a flick through the new PH menu last night and thought it a little tacky. I don't see the need for the cartoon aspect to it, and found it hard to find any real info. I noticed that the pages outlining their own brews was uncluttered and easy to read.

That was another thing I found; it was bloody hard to read the thing when they lowered the lighting (blue typeset on black background).

But enough whingeing, it is a fine place really (I love that long room in the Porterhouse Central). There are too many pubs in Dublin where you go in and find there is absolutely nothing available that you fancy drinking.

I have to say, I am still a very big fan of the Porterhouse North. Good food, great beer selection, nice beer garden, comfy seats. It can get a bit loud on weekend evenings, but even that's it's not as bad as it might be.

I still really like the PH's (except for the Central one. It just doesn't work for me)They are superb for an afternoon pint and a newspaper.

I have spent numerous Saturday afternoons in the Porterhouse. Their beer selection is unrivaled in Dublin so I'll keep going back. There are so many things that infuriate me about the pub though. Still, very glad its there.
